JRF vacancy at the Genetics division of IARI

The Indian Agricultural Research Institute is the country's premier national Institute for agricultural research, education and extension. It has the status of a 'Deemed-to-be-University' under the UGC Act of 1956, and awards M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in various agricultural disciplines. The growth of India's agriculture during the past nearly 100 years, is closely linked with the researches done and technologies generated by the Institute. The Green Revolution stemmed from the fields of IARI.
The Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi intends to recruit one post of JRF (Rs 12000/16000/18000/month as per DST guidelines) and one post of skilled helper (Rs 9802) in the HarvestPlus funded project on “Biofortified wheat for improved human nutrition”. The details of the positions are given below:

Desired Profile : Candidate with graduate degree in Biotech or in Food Science and Technology with GATE or MSc (Food Science and Technology) with NET or MTech (Food Science and Technology)
Experience : Practical knowledge of instrumentation used in cereal based food testing and electrophoretic techniques.
Age limit : Not more than 30 years on the date of interview. Age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC.
