Workshop on the Applications of LC-QTOF-MS/MS and NMR Techniques 10th- 12th February-2014

 Sophisticated Analytical Instrument facility (formerly known as Regional Sophisticated Instrumentation Centre- RSIC) at Central Drug Research Institute (CSIR), Lucknow has been providing excellent analytical service for the last 38 years and is one of the first four such facilities set up by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India in mid seventies. The concept of the SAIF at Central Drug Research Institute evolved around the regional needs of scientists and research personnel engaged in research in the chemical and biological sciences. The sophisticated instruments at the centre have been updated from time to time, keeping pace with the advancement of science and technology and the requirements of the users.
Objective of Workshop : The purpose of this workshop is to introduce the participants to the basics of Mass and NMR techniques and multiple applications of LC-Q-TOF-MS/MS and NMR techniques for small molecules. The beginners will get a chance to familiarize themselves with recent developments in the area of mass spectrometry and NMR techniques and gain confidence by seeing its applications and data interpretation in real situations. The workshop includes both lecture and laboratory sessions.
Topics to be covered :
  • Basics of Mass and NMR techniques
  • LC-QTOF-MS/MS and NMR – Instrumentation and Applications
  • Onsite application training on Mass and NMR instruments
  • Lab visit and discussion on various Mass Spectrometers and NMR instruments 
Accommodation/ Transportation : We will provide accommodation in GH and local hospitality from 9th - 12th February2014
Last Date for receipt of Application with DD : Only Up to 30th Janaury2014 on availability of seats.
Payments : Bank Draft should be drawn in favour of Director, Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow payable at Lucknow (only after confirmation by Organizing Secretary).
