Job Description:
To carry out R & D work and to develop into leader in the area of chemistry and technology/ analytical and technological aspects of vegetable oils/fats/ lipids/ foods/ process development activities.

  3. Post-doctoral Research experience in sensory/food science/ technology.
  4. Experience in handling various R & D projects. Application of sensory techniques and analysis (multi-variate analysis). Instrumental analysis for food texture – structure, GC analysis, food rheology, sensory instrumental correlations and knowledge of computer applications.

To carryout R&D in the area of carbohydrates / lipids in foods and in relation to health and disease and experience in the use of animal and cell culture models and develop strong independent research programme and impart training in above areas and be able to attract research grants and initiate challenging research programmes in the above areas.
Desired Skills:
  1. M.Sc and Ph.D in Biochemistry
  2. Three years of post-Doctoral R&D experience in related areas.
  3. Post-doctoral experience of about 4-6 years in reputed laboratory and experience in the area of carbohydrates/lipids and in relation to food and conversant with specialized techniques including Biacore and IASys.
  4. The candidate should be able to target his / her research activities in areas where Chemistry and Biochemistry intersect.
  • Principal Scientist/ Senior Principal Scientist

Leading and conducting a highly productive and high impact structural biology program of proteins in health and disease covering a suite of techniques in macromolecular crystallography and bioinformatics.
Desired Skills:
  1. Ph.D. in Biophysics/ Biochemistry/ related area in Life Sciences from a recognized University with Three/Six years of post-Doctoral/ post- Ph.D., research experience in the related area.
  2. Expertise in structural biology/ biochemistry/ crystallography/ bioinformatics and interface of areas related to food science and technology is desired.
  3. Candidate should have significant contributions to research evidenced by publications, collaborations, and extra mural funds generation with experience in teaching and training PhD students.
