Applications for the posts of Research Associate and Senior Research Fellow at IARI, New Delhi



The applications are invited for the posts of RA and SRF in ICAR-NFBSFARA project entitled Relationship between Sclerotium rolfsii, Rhizoctonia solani, the soil and climatic variables in three major cropping system in the country and identification of markers for resistance to Sclerotium rolfsii”. Eligible and desirous candidates fulfilling all the requirements should send their applications in the format mentioned below giving full details of academic records and experience along with attested photocopies of relevant documents and passport size photograph to Dr. S.C. Dubey, Principal Investigator, Division of Plant Pathology, IARI, New Delhi 110012 on or before June 10, 2013.




Post 1 : Research Associate

No of Post : One

Emoluments : Rs 24000/month with Ph.D. degree and Rs. 23000/month with master degree + 30% HRA

Essential Qualification : Ph. D degree in Plant Pathology/ Biotechnology/ Botany specialization in Plant Pathology. OR Master degree in above mentioned subjects with 1st division or 60% marks with at least two years research experience

Desirable : Experience on fungal plant pathogens specially Rhizoctonia solani supported with the publications

Age Limit : 40 years for men and 45 years for women

Duration : 1 year

Post 2 : Senior Research Fellow

No of Post : One

Emoluments : Rs 16000/month + 30% HRA

Essential Qualification : M. Sc. (Ag)/ M. Sc. in Plant Pathology/ Biotechnology/ Botany specialization in Plant Pathology.

Age Limit : 35 years for men and 40 years for women

Duration : 1 year

Terms and Conditions : The above post is purely temporary, time bound and co-terminus with the project. Relaxation in age limit for SC/ST/OBC and other candidates as per government rules. No objection certificate from the employer, in case he/she has an employment. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
