Central Drug Research Institute is one of the first and few laboratories that were established in India right after its independence. CDRI is among the thirty eight laboratories that are functioning under the aegis of the council of scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) of India headed by the Prime Minister of the nation as its president.
CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow is a premier R&D Institute under the aegis of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi which is an autonomous body under Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India.
Applications on the prescribed forms are invited from the eligible Indian Nationals for the following posts:-
- Post : Technical Assistant

- Essential Qualification : First Class B.Sc.(Zoology) with one year full time professional qualification in the relevant discipline from a recognized Institute/organization.
- Desirable: One year of working experience in laboratory animal care, breeding and management.
- Job Requirements: Care and management of different laboratory animal species and strains and their breeding program, maintenance of various rodent and non-rodent animal colonies, their health monitoring, quality control, evaluation of laboratory animal feed and record keeping.
- Post : Technical Assistant
- Post Code : 007: (One Post) for Biochemistry:
- Essential Qualification : Ist Class B.Sc. (Life Science) with one year professional qualification in Bioinformatics.
- Desirable : Experience in Cell Culture (mammalian) and cell biology techniques.
- Job Requirements : Cell biology related experiments and shall also be responsible for general maintenance of laboratory reagents / equipments
- Post : Technical Assistant
- Post Code : 013: (One Post) (Reserved for SC) for Endocrinology:
- Essential Qualification : Ist Class B.Sc. (Life Sciences) with one year full time professional qualification in Animal husbandry OR Medical Lab Technology from a reputed Institute/Organization.
- Desirable : Experience in Cell Culture (mammalian) and cell biology techniques.
- Job Requirements : Animal handling, Animal related experimental work, cell culture, computerbased knowledge.
Applications must be accompanied with an application fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) in the form of Banker Cheque/Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Director, Central Drug Research Institute, payable at Lucknow. SC/ST & Persons with Disability are exempted from application fee. The date of determining the age limit/experience/qualifications shall be closing date prescribed for receipt of applications i.e. 02.12.2013. The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, where-ever prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum educational qualification prescribed for that Group/Grade
