Job Description :

• The primary responsibility of this position is to support trait integration activities of rice transgenic trait development programs.
• Successful candidate will be responsible to plan, manage and coordinate activities in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team is highly desired.
• Plan and organize marker assisted backcrossing process and activities related to same from seed to seed.
• Analyze molecular data and report for plant selection.
•  Organize selfing, emasculation and crossing in multiple rice lines at green house for timely seed production.
•  Interact with multiple teams for different molecular analysis.

Desired Skills :

• Experience with molecular markers is highly preferred.
• Good communication skills (Written and oral).

Eligiblity : M.sc in Plant Breeding and Genetics/Biotechnology from recognized University/Institute.
Experience Required : Minimum 2 years experience in rice breeding.
