Research vacancies at NBPGR!!

The National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR) has its headquarters at New Delhi, located at latitude of 280 35’ N, longitude of 70018’ E and an altitude of 226 m above mean sea level. The Bureau draws guidelines from the Crop Science Division of ICAR, Institute Management Committee, Research Advisory Committee, Institute Research Council and Germplasm Advisory Committees.
Name of the project: Harmonizing biodiversity Conservation and agricultural intensification through integration of plant, animal and fish genetic resources for livelihood security in fragile ecosystems.
1. Name of the post: Research Associate
Essential qualification: M.Sc with 2 years experience as SRF or RA in relevant field or PhD in Botany/Agriculture/Plant Genetic Resources/Plant Biotechnology/Plant Biochemistry/Life sciences
Desirable: Experience in field studies, surveys, exploration or collection of PGR in tribal areas, plant biodiversity management and survey, characterization and conservation of Plant Genetic Resources especially in situ on farm or community seed bank.
2. Name of the post: Senior Research Fellow
Essential qualification: M.Sc in Botany/Agriculture/Plant Genetic Resources/Plant Biotechnology/Plant Biochemistry/Life Sciences
Desirable: Experience in Plant Molecular Biology/Plant Biochemistry/Field studies, Surveys, Exploration or Collection of PGR in tribal areas.
