Biosciences and Bioengineering, IIT, Bombay notifies for a JRF opening

The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB) is one of the Fifteen higher Institutes of Technology in the country set up with the objective of making available facilities for higher education, research and training in various fields of Science and Technology. The Institute on an average admits 880 candidates for the undergraduate programme through Joint Entrance Exam(JEE), 280 candidates for 2 Year M.Sc. programmes, 1000 candidates for different postgraduate programmes and 450 for Ph.D programmes every year.
  • Position : Junior Research Fellow
  • Department : Biosciences and Bioengineering
  • Project title : Recognition dynamics of proteins involved in cell cycle regulation by NMR
  • Eligibility : M. Sc. in Chemistry or Biochemistry with sound knowledge of computational skills such as modeling, MD simulation, bioinformatics etc. CSIR(JRF) or GATE qualified will be preferred.
  • Salary : Consolidated salary Rs.16000/- p.m.
  • Job Profile : Cloning, over-expression, isotope labeling, Protein purification, biophysical characterization and NMR spectroscopy.
  • The positions are temporary initially for a period of one year and tenable only for the duration of project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
