Indian Veterinary Research Institute or IVRI is located at Izzatnagar, Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh state. It is India's premier advanced research facility in the field of veterinary medicine and allied branches. The institute continues to play an important role in quality control and potency testing of immunobiologicals to various stakeholders with a good liaison with industry. In the liberalized scenario, to my mind this represents the inherent and fundamental strength of IVRI. Kisan Mela and Pashu Vigyan Pradarshini and other extension activities including KVK, ATIC, Helpline, etc. play a key role in technology transfer mission of the institute.
Applications are invited for engagement of one Junior Research Fellows (JRF) at Centre for Animal Disease Research and Diagnosis (CADRAD), IVRI, Izatnagar, District-Bareilly, PIN 243122, Uttar Pradesh] on purely temporary basis to work in a DBT sponsored project entitled “Development of candidate diagnostics for Mycobacterium bovis infection in bovine and human using potent biomarkers”
- Post : JRF
- Essential qualification : M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Animal Science/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology or M.V.Sc in Microbiology/ Public Health/ Biotechnology.
- Desirable : Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in immunology, molecular biology and handling of large/ laboratory animals. Computer skill will be an added preference.
- Age : Maximum 28 years (age relaxation for different categories will be as per rule).
- Tenure and condition of the project : The position is purely temporary and subject to co-terminus with the project and carries fellowship amount as prescribed under DBT. There is no provision of rearrangement after termination of the project and IVRI, ICAR or DBT will have no liability, whatsoever, for this position. Project Investigator will have the exclusive right to terminate the engagement due to unsatisfactory performance without assigning any reason.
Selection Procedure : The eligible candidate will be interviewed in a Walk-in- interview on 30th October 2013 at 11.00 AM. at CADRAD, IVRI, Izatnagar District-Bareilly, PIN 243122, Uttar Pradesh.
