Notification for JRF position in BRNS sponsored project @ Mangalore University | Freshers eligible

Mangalore University presents the very picture of order and discipline: academic programmes are run on schedule, examinations are conducted on time, and the UGC norm of 180 working days in a year is fulfilled. About 411 scholars are pursuing their doctoral studies and faculty members are engaged in active research along with their teaching assignments. The University has received major grants from the UGC, DST, Govt. of Karnataka, Department of Ocean Development, Department of Electronics, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Space, Department of Biotechnology, Department of Atomic Energy and other nodal agencies. All these have given to the University a national and international visibility.
Applications are invited for a JRF position in BRNS sponsored Research project entitled  “Isolation and characterization of novel radio protective flavonoids from Tragia involucrata”. 
  • Post : JRF 
  • No of Post : One 
  • Essential qualification : First Class in M.Sc., Biochemistry/Life sciences NET/GATE is preferred 
  • Consolidated monthly Fellowship : Rs.16,000/-(for 1st and 2nd year) Rs.18,000/-(for 3rd year) 
  • Tenure of the Project : 03 Years 
  • Date of implementation :  01.04.2013

Note : 
  • The position is purely temporary and it is up to the duration of three years only. Project terminates upon closure of the project or till the satisfactory performance of the candidate. 
  • The prescribed essential qualifications are minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview. 
  • Incomplete applications or applications received after specified time limit shall not be entertained. 
  • No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview. 
  • The selected candidate should be ready to work part of the work in CAART, Mangalore  University, Mangalore and the remaining work in Department of Biochemistry, Mangalore  University PG centre, Chickaluvara, Kushalnagar, Kodagu. 
  • If the candidate is selected in the project, he/she is eligible to register for Ph.D provided the candidate fulfils the university regulations. 
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. 
  • Interviews for the JRF position will be held in Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri, Mangalore.
