Vacancy notification for Research Associate/SRF position at GADVASU, Ludhiana

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) was established at Ludhiana by an act of the Punjab Legislature No. 16 of 2005 notified in the Punjab Government Gazette on August 9, 2005 and it started functioning w.e.f. April 21, 2006 for promoting livestock production, health and prevention of the disease(s) through integrated teaching, research and extension programme(s). 

Applications are invited on plain paper for the temporary post of one Research Associate/ Senior Research Fellow under the project: "Studies on the efficacy of calcium supplement containing calcium nanoparticles in calcium deficiency disorders in ruminants: C:DR-:RKVY-6-C (8)". The appointment is purely temporary and on contractual basis for six months, subject to the condition of the satisfactory performance for renewal and will be liable for termination at any time in case of unsatisfactory performance. There is no provision for absorption/ re-employment in GADVASU after termination of the time bound project.

Essential Qualifications for Senior Research Fellow/ Research Associate : 

• BSc degree in any relevant branch of Biological Science/Life Science with at least second class (0CPA/OGPA of 2.00/4.00 OCPA) 0: 50% marks.
• MSc in Nanotechnology/ Biotechnology/ Pharmacology/ Biochemistry/ Chetnistry or any other relevant branch of life science with at least 65% marks or an OCPA of 6.50 out of 10 or equivalent. For the post of Research Associate Ph D degree in the relevant subject is essential.
• Knowledge of Punjabi upto matric level. The condition of knowledge in Punjabi is however relaxable if the candidate is found otherwise deserving.
• Candidates with Ph. D. degree in relevant subject will be given preference.
Emoluments :  Senior Research Fellow : For candidates holding post graduate degree in subjects other than veterinary science
• Rs 16,000 pm + 20% HRA (fixed): for first and second year
• Rs 18,000 pm + 20% HRA (fixed): for third year
• Research Associate : Rs. 24,000/- per month + 20% HRA
Job Responsibilities :
• Research duties according to the objectives of the project.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by PI of the project.
