DST funded Genetics project at Department of Zoology, BHU has JRF opening | Freshers apply

Banaras Hindu University is a public central university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, BHU is one of the largest residential universities in Asia. BHU is organised into 4 institutes and 14 faculties (streams) and more than 140 departments
Applications are invited for a JRF position at Department of Zoology,Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi
  • Post : JRF (One)
  • Project title : “Molecular basis of sex determination in the izard,Calotes versicolor : In search of the female pathway genes”
  • Project sponsored by : DST
  • Educational Qualification : M.Sc. in a subject of life science with at least 55% marks and should have cleared NET /GATE or equivalent national level research entrance test
  • Pay : Rs 18000/- fixed. Those with NET – LS or GATE will be eligible for scholarship at lowest rate ( @ Rs 12,000.00 p.m.)
  • Duration : The position is coterminous with the project (September 2014)
  • Age : The upper age limit is 28 years extendable by 5 years for /SC/ST and physically handicapped candidates.
